
Catherine E. “Candy” Davies, is a licensed clinical social worker, who recently retired from SUNY New Paltz at the SUNY New Paltz Psychological Counseling Center where she was a senior counselor. She has previous experience as a buyer for IBM’s Corporate Component Procurement, adjunct instructor in business at Dutchess Community College, and business manager/treasurer for Queen City Stage, a small local theatre company. She has managed holiday meals at her church and was a member of Arlington Schools “Building Level Teams,” where she developed after-school homework tutoring programs. She was a member of the Community Advisory Committee for the Route 55 rotary project in LaGrange. She is a volunteer rowing coach and current president of Mid-Hudson Rowing Association, an adult rowing club. Candy graduated from Wesleyan University cum laude, earned a Master of Business Administration at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and a Master of Social Work at Adelphi University. Candy has lived in the Hudson Valley for over 35 years with husband Bill. Their two grown children still make them very proud.
